Counter-terror intelligence expert tops off Homegrown Jihad documentary lineup
Counter-terrorism expert Dr. Peter M. Leitner topped off the expert lineup of leading voices featured in Homegrown Jihad, Christian Action Network president Martin Mawyer said Friday, March 7.
Leitner, Higgins Counterterrorism Research Center president, has 30 years service history, 18 with the U.S. Department of Defense, bringing the Christian Action Network documentary project depth and credibility.
Mawyer said Leitner’s expertise comes from his help in training more than 7,000 law enforcement, first responder, military, FBI, and CIA personnel in intelligence analysis, Islamic terrorism, terror cells, weapons of mass destruction and Arab and Islamic culture.

Trial proceedings began Wednesday, March 5, in a Toledo federal court against three Islamist Muslim men charged as conspirators in an alleged terrorist cell plotting violent jihad.
The opening phase of trial includes three weeks of jury selection from a pool of nearly 500 prospects to find 12 members and six alternates able to withstand a trial expected to last into July.

The USS New York, LPD 21, received its christening Saturday, March 1, during an Avondale Shipyards, New Orleans, Louisiana ceremony.
The battalion-level Marine transport, fifth in the San Antonio class amphibious transport dock, reflects an aggressive, boots-on-the-ground strategy following the acknowledgement of a global war against terrorist entities that came after the attacks of September 11, 2001.

CAIR leaders said they revel in a victory for Islamic work place prayers as all 16 Muslim employees at Arnold’s Logistics, a Jacobs and Company affiliate, received offers for re-hire with special accommodations for Islamic prayers during the workday.
