Quick Tips: Paying Your Staff’s Weekly Outsourcing Work

A Contact Details sheet is immediately handed out to an outsourcer who becomes part of my SEO services staff. Along with their PayPal address, I ask them their preferred terms of payment for their outsourcing work. Usually I pay an outsourcer through PayPal. The currency I use to pay them is USD. But I am considering this time using AUD for payments too.

I do my payment transactions for full time workers through PayPal. But I also use Rent A Coder or vWorker bonus for those who are out taskers. I typically use these two for my payment schemes. It is okay with me if I have to do direct deposits into their personal bank accounts. Then, I let them know I give labor pays fortnightly.

When you let them know their job description, you need to inform them as well of their job title and job status. It is important, especially for the full time workers to know when the exact date of their outsourcing work and SEO training will start. Tell them that in a span of three months $4 would be their rate per hour of work. Assure them of a dollar raise once they succeed in the trial period. Make it clear too that they are hired as contractors right from the start. This goes to show they are not to receive any holiday pays and sick pays. They can log off during lunch time to eat and resume work afterwards. However, they get to enjoy two paid ten-minute breaks everyday.

My staff members see an increase of a dollar to their $4 an hour rate as twenty-five-percent increase in wage. Wherever you are going to write it under an outsourcing pros and cons list, this remains to be a fair practice. You might be seeing only $1, but for some people across the globe, it is a big deal, it is twenty-five percent pay rise. This is a good way to positively motivate your staff to work harder. It is like the carrot on a stick that we talked about earlier.

We pay them on a fortnightly basis and then there is the job description.

What I often do with job descriptions is part of their job description is, this is an example week of what you’ll be doing. So not only is there here’s an overview of the task, but how your week would break down, to clarify it in your mind as well as theirs.

This helps you ensure exactly what these people are going to do for their outsourcing work on a weekly basis for you. It just helps reinforce this person is going to be valuable for your SEO company and helps them get some clarity on how their week is going to be broken up so they can get some milestones too of what percentage of each day will be based on the individual tasks. You put little clauses in there, like this is subject to change and things like that.
